ISBN 978-3-7983-2128-1Space-time-zones are an instrument to capture areas defined spatially as well as temporally. The “Berliner Fanmeile 2006” on the Straße des 17. Juni is examined as a conjunction of incident and territory against the background of general temporal changes and the growing importance of big events. Particularly the effects of the Fanmeile on the nearby city and its interactions with its surroundings are considered. The Fan Fest is an extreme example and takes, as such, an exceptional position, but other temporal events, too, are characterized by the conjunction of limited and lasting elements. This work aims at developing a general concept of the temporal space-time-zone, characterized as well by a clear outline as by its practicability.
