The Leipzig Charter on Sustainable European Cities \u2013 proclaiming and asking for a more integrated urban development in European cities \u2013 was published 10 years ago. Today, the Charter is being put to the test, and with it the still young approaches and experiences of integrated urban development in Germany and many other EU Member States. Resulting from critical discussion \u2013 specifically in university teaching and a national winter school held in 2016\/2017 \u2013 on the status quo and the future of the Charter.
